Mar 25, 2020 "Simple method for the production of protective masks"
Due to the global corona pandemic, there is currently a huge demand for protective masks. In order to meet the high demand, local productions for the masks have to be established in many countries and regions. Based on our know-how in sewing and welding technology and input from the market, we recommend below a manufacturing method that you can produce QUICK and EASY protective masks without a large investment in an automatic production system.
1. Cutting / 2 parts
On request DXF files or drawings of the mask parts can be made available by PFAFF.
2. Joining of the parts
With ultrasonic machines PFAFF 8311 or PFAFF 8312 (C&S method)
3. Tacking of the elastic straps (left/right)
With tacking machine 3307-4/01 (alternatively with the darning programme of the high-speed seamer PFAFF 2081/83)
Overview of the recommended machines:
Due to the high demand for these machines, the availability has to be checked daily by the PFAFF sales team.
We have set up our own email address for current inquiries to give you a quick and competent answer.
